I’m a transplanted New Yorker – came to England first as a student, fell in love with it and determined to return. Which, of course, I did. Many of my stories are about living in England – looking at it from an American perspective. My writing has an unabashed ‘Americanness’ to it – breezy, often cheeky, sometimes sentimental about the beauty I find in this country. As a writer and journalist, and a woman with wide-ranging interests (the garden, countryside, art, animals, literature, cinema, music, tennis, food and cooking, celebrities), I can apply my special style to any assignment.
